How do I move the mail I already have?

Export it from Gmail (a couple of clicks, then Google sends you a file) and drop that file into Nyxe. Read state comes across, nothing imports twice, and an interrupted run picks up where it left off. Forward the old address for as long as you like.

What happens to my address if Nyxe disappears?

You keep it. The domain is registered to you, the DNS records live in your zone, and the mailbox speaks standard IMAP and JMAP, so any other provider can take it. Repoint the MX record and your address keeps working somewhere else. That's the whole reason to be on your own domain.

Not for Mail. That's the web app plus any IMAP client you already use. Flow is a Mac app, because transcription and search run on your own machine. Off a Mac, you're paying for the mailbox and Flow isn't part of it.

Can I keep using Apple Mail or Outlook?

Yes. IMAP, JMAP and SMTP are on for every plan including free. Plenty of people run the Nyxe web app on the desktop and their phone's built-in mail app on the move.

The message waits on the server before it leaves, so a stray click is easy to take back. Give it a time instead and it stays cancellable from any device.
